<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety drive support device for a large-sized vehicle for preventing the occurrence of accidents, where an obstacle is caught into the side of the vehicle, when a tractor which tows a trailer turns around. <P>SOLUTION: The safety drive support device for a large-sized vehicle includes a plurality of obstacle detection means 12C, 12R, 12L, 14R, and 14L, or the like, for detecting an obstacle 30 around the vehicle; a risk determination means for determining a risk from the detected location information of the obstacle 30; a notification means for notifying a driver of the risk determination result. This safety drive support device also includes turning time obstacle detection means 14R and 14L, arranged on the side-face side of a tractor 10 as the obstacle detection means 12C, or the like, for when the tractor 10 turns at a steering angle which is equal to or more than a fixed value, detecting the existence of the obstacle 30, existing in a region L2(L) at the side face side of the tractor 10 and at the diagonally back side of a trailer 20 at the turning direction side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
