<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device and a backlight driving device for preventing deterioration of brightness by maintaining constant a forward current of an LED backlight while a cost increase is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight device includes an LED backlight, a driving power source for impressing a driving voltage on the LED backlight, a detecting part for detecting the driving voltage, a switching part for selecting impressing or non-impressing of the driving voltage on the LED backlight, and a signal generating part for generating a controlling signal to the switching part. The controlling signal is a signal provided with a specific duty ratio, and the signal generating part establishes the duty ratio so that an average forward current of the LED backlight may become constant in accordance with the detected result of the detecting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
