PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential gear including a first differential case, a second differential case and a ring gear separately constructed and integrally welded and joined to one another, having reduced manufacturing cost by reducing the welding frequency. SOLUTION: A first joint portion of the first differential case 12, namely, an outer periphery side portion 42a of an outward flange 42 beyond a through-hole 44, is located on a second joint portion of the second differential case 14, namely, on the outer periphery side of a joint protruded portion 40 to be inserted into the through-hole 44, while overlapped therewith in the radial direction. The ring gear 16 is arranged to be opposed to both joint portions in the direction of a center line O, and laser beam welding is applied to the opposed area through the outer periphery side. Thus, three members, namely, the first differential case 12, the second differential case 14 and the ring gear 16, are integrally welded and joined to one another.
