PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic paving material which has a favorable abrasion resistance and a sliding resistance after the abrasion associated with use. SOLUTION: The elastic paving material contains rubber chips and/or rubber powder, an aggregate, and a binder. The binder contains polymer which is a principal component and an organic silicon compound. The polymer has a molecular weight of 500-30,000, and both ends of the polymer are denatured by alkoxysilane. The organic silicon compound has one or more silicon-oxygen connection and 1 to 10 sulfur atoms in its molecule.
