PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems wherein power supply is necessary since a non-contact type electric precision instrument is used in an ordinary method, durability of a displacement measuring device used for a long time becomes inferior under adverse environment (power failure, dust, high humidity), a measuring instrument for recording data is further required so that not only its cost is increased but also much labor is required for its maintenance, and it is difficult for a user to confirm the occurrence of failure of a sensor visually when using a non-contact sensor, thereby causing a big problem. SOLUTION: This displacement measuring device is composed of a displacement measuring device body installed in either of case bodies opposing to each other through a joint structure in a submerged case installed by a submerging construction method and composed of a guide basic body, an arm running body running slidably on the guide basic body, a marker provided at a tip of the arm running body, and a pressing means for pressing the arm running body in the direction of tip always and a target panel installed in the other case body and positioned to abut the marker on a face.
