PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a sock including a structure of a heel part further fitting to the foot. SOLUTION: The sock is so designed that a heel part tightly fitting to the foot is formed by arranging repeatedly a plurality of stitch increasing/decreasing areas and short cylindrical knit areas, continuing to a leg part 2 to be cylindrically knitted, and the stitch increasing/decreasing area 10 continuing to the leg part is an Achilles tendon covering part, the short cylindrical knit area continuing to the Achilles tendon covering part is a heel upper part cylindrical knit area 11, the stitch increasing/decreasing area 12 continuing to the heel upper part cylindrical knit area is a heel backside covering part, and the continuous short cylindrical knit area is a heel lower part cylindrical knit area 13, and the stitch increasing/decreasing area continuing to the heel lower part cylindrical knit area is a heel forward marginal part 14. The stitch increasing/decreasing areas and the short cylindrical knit areas are knitted in a way fitting for the purpose so as to improve a function and knit patterns into the cylindrical knit areas.
