<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MFP capable of preventing a mistake of transmitting a scan image read by a pseudo-push scanning method to a wrong transmitting destination, and capable of easily specifying a problem if any error occurs. <P>SOLUTION: An MFP 101 comprises means of: displaying a selection screen, on which a scan setting and a transmitting destination of a scan image are selected by a user, based on information 721 about the scan setting and an image storing destination transmitted from a host PC 103 (STEP S711); transmitting the information selected on the selection screen to the host PC 103 together with a transmitting request 722 of reading-start-instruction information of an original; and transmitting, to the MFP 101, a scan image which is read by reading an image of the original based on the reading-start-instruction information 723 (STEP S713).
