<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device for improving the flying property while keeping high charging property, and an image forming apparatus including the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes a developing roller, wherein the surface of the developing device includes a spiral groove tilting at a predetermined angle with respect to the axial direction and circumferential direction, and the groove has irregularity carrying an external additive. Since the external additive is carried by the irregularity of the groove, a mirror image force applied to toner stacked on it is reduced, and the flying property is improved while high charging property is kept. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
