PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cooling effect of food, to reduce a pressure loss of a cold air flow by reducing partitioning walls and a structure in a cooling chamber, to easily reduce power, and to perform maintenance and inspection even if a width of a conveyor is widened in a continuous conveying-type freezer. SOLUTION: A conveyor belt 14 is made to penetrated a freezing compartment 18, and cold air is injected to the food f conveyed on the conveyor belt 14 from an upper cold air injecting section 48 and a lower cold air injecting section 50 disposed on upper and lower parts of the conveyor belt to freeze the food f. An air cooler 44 is disposed in an upper space in the freezing compartment, the cold air cooled by the air cooler 44 is discharged to an external space s1 of the conveyor belt 14 to form a positive pressure downward flow r1 of the cold air, and a clearance i is formed at the upper cold air injecting section 48 to form a negative pressure upward flow r2 of the cold air passing through the clearance i in an internal space s2 of the conveyor belt 14 by the differential pressure sucking action of an axial-flow suction fan 40, thus improving the cooling effect of the food f.
