PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a discoloring molded product which includes excellent scratch resistance of a porous layer provided on the surface of the molded product and satisfies repetitive practical utility. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the discoloring molded product 1 includes: thermally softening and disposing a discoloring sheet having a porous layer 3 on a surface of a thermoplastic resin sheet 2, the porous layer being differed in transparency between a liquid absorbing state and a non-liquid absorbing state and including a low-refractive index pigment fixed to a binder resin in a dispersed state, on a molding die; pressing the discoloring sheet to the molding die by giving an air pressure difference between both the sides followed by cooling and solidifying; and releasing the resulting sheet from the die.
