摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller that carries out charging by generating as little noise as possible in a cooling section and by consuming no excessive power. SOLUTION: The controller includes a storing section for storing information relating to control and a control section. The control section performs: a charging appointment time storing processing wherein a charging finish time for an electric storage device 150 set by an operator is stored in the storing section; a charging starting processing wherein a connection of a charging cable 300 to a vehicle is detected and then charging the electric storage device is started at a predetermined time; a charging-under-forced-cooling processing wherein the electric storage device is charged by the maximum allowable current, and when the electric storage device exceeds the upper limit temperature, the electric storage device is charged under forced cooling by a cooling section 280; and a charging-under-natural-heat-dissipation processing wherein the electric storage device is charged by a charging current equal to or lower than the maximum allowable current so that the electric storage device may be charged to a targeted charged stage within an allowable charging time by the charging finishing time and the charging-under-forced-cooling processing time may be shortest.
