PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device and its destination setting method, capable of readily recognizing a destination having visited in the past on a spot shown by an address name item, when the address name item in a list is selected, when a destination is set by using a destination history list or a spot registration list. SOLUTION: When a destination is set by using the destination history list or the spot registration list, a list where facility names and address names are itemized is displayed; when a prescribed item is selected, it is examined whether the item is an address name item; and when it is an address name item, one or more facilities close to a spot corresponding to the address name are retrieved on reference to a facility database, and retrieved facility names are displayed, together with the list.
