PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm compatible gas meter system capable of determining whether or not the cause of occurrence of alarm information is a gas apparatus. SOLUTION: The alarm compatible gas meter system comprises a gas meter 1 having a two-way communication means 12, a gas flow measurement means 10, and a gas apparatus determination means 11 for determining a gas apparatus in use according to the gas flow measured; and alarms (alarm A2, alarm B3, alarm C4) installed near respective gas apparatuses (gas apparatus A5, gas apparatus B6, gas apparatus C7) and having respective two-way communication means 2a, 2b, 2c. The gas meter 1 produces an appropriate warning by giving instructions to the alarms according to the use situation of the gas apparatuses determined by the gas apparatus determination means 11.
