VIBRATION CONTROL METHOD, VIBRATION CONTROL STRUCTURE, AND ASEISMATIC REINFORCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control method, a vibration control structure and an aseismatic reinforcing method that can add a vibration control function to an existing or new building. SOLUTION: The vibration control method for controlling the vibration of the existing or new building comprises providing a mass body 5 to face the skeleton 1 face of the building, supporting the mass body 5 movably by a support means 18 so as to be movable differently from the building, and connecting the mass body 5 to the building skeleton 1 through a vibration control device 10. The mass body 5 is movably supported to the surface of the building skeleton 1 through the support means 18 so as to be movable differently from the building. The vibration of the building can be reduced by allowing the mass body 5 to function as a mass body 5 of an MD (mass damper) 4 to nullify vibration or by damping of the vibration control device or by the effect of both.
