PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for diagnosing a separation of a wall surface layer, capable of automatically sliding a diagnosis sound generating member on a surface of the wall surface layer and reducing efforts of a worker, at the time of diagnosing whether the wall surface layer is separated from a building body. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for diagnosing the separation of the wall surface layer from the building body, by sliding the diagnostic sound generating member 7 on the surface of the wall surface layer of the building includes a rod 2 and the diagnosis sound generating member 7, attached to one end of the rod 2, there are included a connecting housing 10 having the one end of the rod 2, extended therefrom and made movable in a predetermined direction; a servo motor 15, attached to the connecting housing 10 and generating a torque for moving the one end of the rod 2 in the predetermined direction; and a power transmission means 20 for transmitting the torque to the rod 2.
