PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower having improved suction performance and a vacuum cleaner using the same. SOLUTION: The electric blower includes: an armature (not shown in the figure); a field (not shown in the figure); an anti-load side bracket 6 for rotatably supporting one end of the armature; a load-side bracket 5 for rotatably supporting the other end of the armature; an impeller 11 fixed to the one end of the armature; an air guide 10 for rectifying air blown out from the impeller 11; and a casing 12 formed of sheet metal which covers the impeller 11 and the air guide 10 and has a center suction port 12a in the center. The impeller 11 includes a suction port 111a in the center and a front shroud 111 having an umbrella-like disk shape. The front shroud 111 is formed of resin. An end face of the suction port 111a contacts with the center suction port 12a so as to achieve air-tightness. A dimensional precision of the height of the suction port 111a and a shape of the end face of the suction port 111a are improved and the suction performance is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
