<p>A folding bicycle the ratio between the contour of which while is being folded and the contour of the wheels of the folding bicycle is substantially reduced is provided. Sliding grippers onto which the rear axle of the folding bicycle is attached provides for pushing the rear wheel towards the seat tube prior to the folding of the front segment of the bicycle towards the rear segment of the bicycle. Crank folding mechanism provides for aligning one of the cranks with the other crank. Top tube one end of which is pivotally attached to the down tube whereas its other end detachably attached to the seat tube provides for enhancing the rigidity of the frame of the unfolded bicycle as well as for convenient folding/unfolding operations.</p> |
