PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food container which is excellent in convenience since a lid can be separated from a container body easily at opening the lid and which has a high yield since a processed part for separation is not cut carelessly in a container manufacturing process.

SOLUTION: The food container 1 having the container body 2, the lid 3 and a hinge 6 is one piece formed product formed of a foamed resin. The container body 2 has a flange 7 at an opening 5. The lid 3 closes the opening 5. The hinge 6 connects the lid 3 to one side 8a of the flange 7. The processed part 11 for separation to separate the container body 2 and the lid 3 is formed at the hinge 6 or a position near the hinge in the food container 1. The processed part 11 for separation is composed of a groove 12 and a perforation 13. The groove 12 is formed continuously at the outer surface side S1 of the container. The perforation 13 is formed continuously at the inner surface side S2 of the container and composed of two or mores penetration holes 14 communicating with the groove 12 inside.
