PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag having a three-dimensional structure capable of more stably restraining an occupant against pressing force received from the occupant when inflating and deploying the airbag. SOLUTION: This airbag 1 is formed into a bag body including an upper wall part 4, two sidewall parts 5 and 6, a lower wall part 3 and a contact wall part 2 by sewing a cut part 12. In the cut part 12 for a body, the upper part 4 is formed into a shape formed with a swelling part 4f swelling outwardly into a ridge folding in the longitudinal direction when the airbag 1 is made into the inflated and deployed state. For instance, the airbag 1 is the airbag for a front passenger seat installed in the front passenger seat. The cut part 12 can be formed so that an upper part may be brought into contact with windshield 202 by the swelling part 4f of the upper wall part 4 when the airbag 1 is installed in a vehicle and is made into the inflated and deployed state.
