<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device increasing a drive voltage even when using TFT allowing a limited voltage as a switching element. <P>SOLUTION: Two signal lines S1 and S2 are provided for each display element. One electrode 4 constituting an element capacitor Cp and the other electrode 5 are connected via a switching element to different wires. Using a medium indicating optical anisotropy when not applied with an electric field and indicating optical anisotropy by applying an electric field, polarizers are respectively provided to both the substrates so that the respective absorption axial directions cross, and the absorption axial directions of both the polarizers are of 45 degrees of angle in relation to the extending directions of comb portions of the electrodes 4 and 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
