PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling installation type circulator used for generating a circulating air current, capable of suppressing visually oppressing feeling and having sufficient performance by a configuration suppressing visually oppressing feeling even when a lighting device is provided. SOLUTION: The circulator can change air blowing directions on the upstream and downstream sides by switching a suction port and a blowout port in an opening 7 so as to change the air blowing direction, and has a thin structure since a clearance is unnecessary between a fan and a ceiling. Since the cross flow fan 2 serving as a rotating part is covered with a casing and an outer hull 5, visually oppressing feeling caused if the rotating part is visible can be suppressed.
