PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain efficiency of use for an apparatus at a high level without wasting a user's precious time. SOLUTION: A display control section 77 carries out determination of whether or not a function regarding operating information is a preview candidate based on the operating information obtained by an operating information obtaining section 71 and the stored content in a preview candidate storing section 75. Then, a finished image plane for the printed matter that embodies the function regarding the operating information is displayed on a display screen in a touch panel section 53 when a determination is made that the function regarding the operating information is the preview candidate with a high probability for a setting mistake as the result of the determination.
