PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for measuring a fluid velocity capable of measuring the velocity of a fluid accurately and quickly. SOLUTION: This system 1 for measuring a flow velocity includes a laser light oscillation part 2 which oscillates laser light 3, a laser sheet light forming part 4 which converts the laser light 3 into laser sheet light 5 and radiates it into a measured fluid, and a borescope 7 which observes an image 6 of an object to be irradiated made to appear in the measured fluid by the laser sheet light 5. A camera 8 for PIV which picks up the observed image of the object to be irradiated and transforms it into irradiated body image data is connected to the borescope 7. The laser sheet light forming part 4 and the borescope are held and maintained partially at least in a probe 9 extended to the measured fluid side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
