<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable impact resistant member which does not occur damage such as cracks or chipping even when used under a condition, where impact force repeatedly acts, has long life characteristics and crack resistance under high temperature high speed condition, and exhibits stable characteristics over a long period of time, and to provide a method for maufacturing the impact resistant member. <P>SOLUTION: The impact resistant member is composed of a silicon nitride sintered body, in which five or more pieces of silicon nitride crystal particles of ≥3 μm major diameter exsist within 10 μm×10 μm optional cross-sectional region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
