PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new valve unit for further reducing abrasion, in a fuel supply device of an engine. SOLUTION: The valve unit (23) of the fuel supply device of the engine has a steel body (11) for receiving a constant pressure safety valve (15) in a recessed part (14). At this time, the constant pressure safety valve (15) has an operation element (20) colliding with a spring element (19), and the operation element presses a ball valve (21) of the constant pressure safety valve (15) to a valve seat (24) of the constant pressure safety valve (15). The valve seat (24) of the constant pressure safety valve is formed of a steel independent cartridge (25), and the steel tempering temperature in the independent cartridge (25) is higher than the steel tempering temperature of the body (11).
