PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for demolishing a high-rise building of a concrete slab structure, and concrete slab demolition equipment. SOLUTION: The concrete slab demolition equipment 3 is installed on the beams 2 and 2 of the concrete slab 1 lower by one story than an uppermost floor 1' of the high-rise building; a winding machine 33 is installed on its horizontal member 32; a through-hole 1a is provided in the concrete slab 1 on each floor in a position directly below each winding machine 33; a wire rope 34 unwound from the winding machine 33 is passed through the through-holes 1a in turn, and lowered until it reaches a horizontal conveyance floor; and a supporting plate 35 is attached to a lower end of the wire rope 34. After that, the concrete slab 1 is cut in a position outside the through-hole 1a of the wire rope 34; and the cut concrete slab block 10 is carried out by being reloaded onto a horizontal conveyance means on the horizontal conveyance floor.
