PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave filter of a surface acoustic wave element or a resonator type, in which three or more different surface acoustic resonators having different frequencies are placed in one element in parallel and a surface acoustic wave device using the same. SOLUTION: In a SAW filter 1, three SAW filters 10, 20, and 30 different in central frequencies are provided on a piezoelectric substrate 5, and the SAW filter 10 which has the highest central frequency of all is placed in the center. Also, the SAW filter 20 and the SAW filter 30 placed on both sides of the SAW filter 10 are placed in an area which does not overlap surface acoustic wave propagation paths of IDT electrodes 11A, 11B of the SAW filter 10. Moreover, the peripheral part of the piezoelectric substrate 5 is provided with a frame-shaped earth pattern 7 to be a ground electrode common to the SAW filters 10, 20, and 30 so as to surround the SAW filters 10, 20, and 30.
