PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the quantity of light spots without reducing the quantity of light in a linear light source apparatus using a point light source. SOLUTION: A first diffuser 30a is formed with a long transparent resin. The first diffuser 30a includes an inner surface 31a facing the point light source 22a, an outer surface 32a facing the outside, and a light emitting surface 33a for emitting light. In the embodiment, the first diffuser 30a is provided with an almost L-shaped diffusion surface 35a with respect to a base 34a to be mounted on a housing 11, and has the shape of an almost N.
