PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile rack facility capable of simply and surely enhancing safety. SOLUTION: At sides of entrances 5 of working passages 3A-3C, IC tag readers 7a-7c and on/off-sensors 8a-8c capable of detecting the passage of workers P are provided at a control device side by side at intervals in a direction Y of an entrance and an exit of the workers P so as to detect the passage of them in the order corresponding to the direction of the entrance and the exit of them. The control device for disenabling the movement of mobile racks 2A, 2B when the workers P are in open working passages 3A-3C determines whether the passage is the entrance into the working passages 3A-3C or the exit to the outside of the working passages 3A-3C from the order of the detection of the IC tag readers 7a-7c and the on/off-sensors 8a-8c, counts the present number of the workers P in the working passages 3A-3C and allows the drive of the mobile racks 2A, 2B when the present counted value is zero.
