Disclosed is an aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion having good film-forming properties, excellent mechanical properties and excellent water resistance. The aqueous polyurethane resin dispersion contains water and a polyurethane resin (U), and satisfies all of the following conditions (1)-(6). (1) The urethane group content in the polyurethane resin (U) is 0.5-5.0 mmol/g, when based on the weight of the polyurethane resin (U). (2) The terminal amino group content in the polyurethane resin (U) is not more than 0.35 mmol/g, when based on the weight of the polyurethane resin (U). (3) The polyurethane resin (U) has a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 10,000-1,000,000. (4) The polyurethane resin (U) has a ratio between the weight average molecular weight (Mw) and the number average molecular weight (Mn), namely a ratio Mw/Mn of 1.5-3.5. (5) The polyurethane resin (U) has a melting temperature of 70-280°C. (6) The polyurethane resin (U) has a volume average particle diameter (Dv) of 0.01-1 µm. |
