Provided is a particle radiation therapy apparatus configured to make a beam small in size. The particle radiation therapy apparatus is provided with an accelerator (14) for accelerating a charged particle beam, a beam scanning device (5a, 5b) for scanning the charged particle beam, an irradiation device for irradiating the charged particle beam toward an irradiating subject, a duct for securing a vacuum or gas region to connect from the accelerator (14) to a beam taking-out window (7) arranged closer to the downstream side than the beam scanning device (5a, 5b), and a beam transportation device (15) for transporting the charged particle beam projected from the accelerator (14) to the irradiation device.
