<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain spats strengthening the muscle of the knee joint and the quadriceps femoris muscle by wearing during walking. <P>SOLUTION: The spats made of a basic knitted fabric 6 with stretchability is so designed that a semi-annular tightening texture part 16 having semicircle tightness is provided on a hip part 12, and vertical strip-shaped tightening texture parts 10 having tightness in the vertical direction, facing downward from a hip lower end 15 along a leg virtual suspending line 9 and extending to the vicinity of a bottom part 5 are provided on right and left leg parts 7 of the back body 2 of the spats.
