PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which is constituted of a support column inserted into an axial hole of a tape carrying roller and a frame for fixing the support column which are formed of synthetic resins, can hold the tape carrying roller at a proper position, and can smoothly discharge an already-printed label tape to the outside by press-bonding the tape. SOLUTION: At the upper side of the frame 13, the first support column 20 which keeps the tape carrying roller 39 at the proper position is installed. Also, the second support column 22 is installed at the opposite side from the first support column 20 across the frame 13, and at the outer periphery of the second support column 22, a gear 217 is installed. Pressure from a pressing roller unit 19 is applied while being dispersed to the first support column 20 and the second support column 22. Also, forces in the vertical direction which are applied to the frame 13 cancel each other. Therefore, even if the first support column 20, the second support column 22 and the frame 13 are constituted of the synthetic resins, each support column does not tilt, or the frame 13 does not warp.
