摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite optical element capable of preventing the formation of burr even if the discharge amount of a resin is not accurately controlled, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet curable resin 12 is dripped on the joining surface of an optical base material 11, the resin 12 is spread under pressure with the molding surface 14a of a mold 14, and the resin 12 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to be cured. In the step of spreading the resin 12 under pressure with the molding surface 14a of the mold 14, the resin 12 is spread under pressure until the peripheral edge of the contact surface with the mold of the resin 12 coincides with the peripheral edge of the molding surface 14a. Further, the resin 12 is spread under pressure so as to satisfy 0.5≤tanθ≤2 when the angle, formed by the straight line connecting the peripheral edge of the molding surface 14a and the peripheral edge of the contact surface with the optical base material 11 of the resin 12 with the shortest distance and the optical axis O-O of the optical base material 11, is set asθ.
