PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, a printing system, an image processing method and a program for efficiently parallel-performing a half-tone processing due to error diffusion to image data. SOLUTION: Image data 100 are divided into a plurality of regions 101 to 104 so that a portion of data can be overlapped, and half-tone processing on each of these regions 101 to 104 is executed in parallel; and for the obtained half-tone processing, either of the half-tone processing result of each of overlapped sections 112 to 114 is discarded, the other is utilized, and they are mutually connected.
