PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle material for a polishing brush achieving more excellent polishing performance than ever, preventing the bristle material from being broken when using the bristle material as the brush, preventing a tip of the bristle material from being split, and maintaining excellent polishing performance continuously and made of polyester and to provide the polishing brush. SOLUTION: This bristle material for the polishing brush is made of monofilaments manufactured by melting a resin composition prepared by mixing 10-40 wt.% of abrasive grain particles with a resin mixture containing 18-54 wt.% of polyethylene naphthalate resin of and 72-6 wt.% of the other polyester resin and spinning the resin composition.
