PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of winding a metal strip by which the meandering of the metal strip caused by a pinch roll is suppressed effectively by a relatively simple equipment configuration. SOLUTION: This method is a method of winding the metal strip which is conveyed with a conveying roll group around a coiler through the pinch rolls and the out-of-plane deformation of the metal strip is suppressed by the pressure of the fluid jet flow by jetting a fluid toward the upper surface of the passed-through metal strip so as to make the vertical plane passed through the axial line of a conveying roll coincide with the center line of the fluid jet flow approximately from jetting nozzles arranged above at least one conveying roll. The meandering of the metal strip caused by the pinch roll is suppressed effectively and the telescoping of the metal strip in a coiler is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
