PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous baked culture bed having effect of promoting growth of plant and effect of preventing undesired living things except plant owing to elution of metal ions from a metallic compound including copper or zinc as metal. SOLUTION: The porous baked culture bed promotes and maintains the growth of the plant because the metal ions eluted from the metallic compound including copper or zinc as metal are useful for the plant, wherein the metal ions inhibit multiplication of the undesired living things except plant.
