PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight sound absorbing sheet material excellent in a sound absorption property and moldability, and a sound absorbing interior material using the sound absorbing sheet. SOLUTION: The sound absorbing sheet material is provided by adhering a nonwoven fabric including 50 mass% or more of extra-fine fiber prepared from a thermoplastic resin by a meltblown method on one side or both sides of a fiber sheet with a hot-melt adhesive powder. In the sound absorbing sheet material, a softening point of the hot melt adhesive measured by a method conforming to JIS K 6863-1994 is set 5°C or more lower than the softening point measured by a method according to JIS K 6863-1994 of the thermoplastic resin serving as a material of the nonwoven fabric. The sound absorbing interior material produced by thermal adhesion of the sound absorbing sheet material to a fiber base material is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
