摘要 <p>An electromechanical mechanism for controlling fractional weight lifting plates in workout stations is installed in a weight tower of the workout station, the tower comprising two vertical columns joined at the top by a crossbeam and at the bottom by a base which supports a stack of unit weights that can be vertically moved by a steel cable, sliding in vertical guides mounted between the crossbeam and the base. At the top of the tower, a pulley deflects the steel cable coming from the lower part of the tower towards the centre of the tower, where it is attached to the unit weights. The pulley (8) that deflects the steel cable is mounted in the centre of a shaft (11), the shaft being parallel to the crossbeam (2) and suspended on a pair of bearings (13) attached to the crossbeam (2) of the tower. Pulleys (15) are mounted on the shaft, on either side of the pulley (8), and are provided with a coupling (17) on the lateral part thereof that can fit into a coupling (18) of an adjacent disk (19) mounted on the shaft (11) so as to slide in the longitudinal direction and guided by a rod (20) that is axially driven by the cursor (23) of a linear actuator (24). A steel cable (16) is attached to each pulley (15) and extends, behind the tower, over a deflection pulley (29), hanging vertically down inside a tube (30) attached to the crossbeam (2) and to the base (3) of the tower, a cylindrical fractional weight lifting plate (31 or 32) being attached to the end of the cable (16).</p>
