摘要 <p>Changes in the state of a person can be captured with a speed close to that of the self-awareness of the person. A frequency-slope time-series analysis computation means (612) computes a frequency-slope waveform from a chronological torso pulse wave signal detected by an air pack. A frequency-variation time-series analysis computation means (613) computes a frequency-variation waveform. A waveform determination means (614) compares changes in the two waveforms, making it possible to capture changes in the state of the person with a speed close to that of the self-awareness of the person. A sleep-onset point can be clearly identified as a point where a steeply-sloped section emerges in the frequency-variation waveform, indicating rapid change, after which the frequency-variation waveform or frequency-slope waveform has a prescribed amplitude and baseline position. Also, a drowsiness state leading to sleep-onset can be detected by identifying as a drowsiness waveform a situation in which the mean slope line of the steeply-sloped section of the frequency-variation waveform is roughly parallel to the mean slope line of a steeply-sloped section of the frequency-slope waveform that occurs immediately before the emergence of the steeply-sloped section of the frequency-variation waveform.</p>
