<p>This invention, the Chord Restraint System (CRS), is an apparatus with a novel design that reduces induced stress in leg structure at the leg-hull interface of a self elevating drilling or production rigs, vessels or platforms used in oil and gas industry. The whole CRS system can be made portable and is unique in design. It is cost effective and yet is able to enhance a rig's operating capability. CRS has several advantages over the conventional system such as the Fixation or Rack-Chock system used in self- elevating rigs.
