<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste gas detoxification apparatus which can carry out space saving according to the amount of gas to be processed which is a processing object. <P>SOLUTION: The waste gas detoxification apparatus 10 includes a reacting furnace 12 surrounding a gas F to be treated containing a halogen compound, and carrying out a heat decomposition of the gas F to be treated in a heat decomposition area of a high temperature in the inside to discharge the heat-decomposed waste gas G heat-decomposed from a heat-decomposed waste gas discharge port 34, and an exhaust hole 44 into which the reacting furnace 12 is inserted, and also, which discharges the heat-decomposed waste gas G discharged from the reacting furnace 12 outside. A device body 14 in which a gas passage 46 introducing the heat-decomposed gas G up to the exhaust hole 44 is formed inside is provided.
