<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus and control method thereof, wherein it can be determined whether or not information can be sent out, in accordance with a communication status of the wireless communication apparatus, without depending on user operation. <P>SOLUTION: When a wireless communication apparatus having a near-field wireless communication interface is connected to a counterparty wireless communication apparatus via the near-field wireless communication interface, the wireless communication apparatus confirms whether or not the connection is maintained for a predetermined time.
