<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet with an improved plant-derivation degree by using spin-dyeing polytrimethylene terephthalate crimped yarns for a major part of pile yarns of the carpet. <P>SOLUTION: The spin-dyeing polytrimethylene terephthalate crimped yarn for use in the pile yarn simultaneously satisfies the following (1)-(7) characteristics, so that this carpet having excellent abrasion resistance, bulkiness and the like and having the improved plant-derivation degree is provided. (1) The cross-section of monofilament is a modified cross-section and the deformation degree expressed by the ratio (B/A) of the diameter (B) of a circumscribed circle to the diameter (A) of an inscribed circle of the fiber cross section is 1.8-4.5, (2) the limiting viscosity (IV) is 0.7-1.3, (3) the strength is 1.5-2.5 cN/dtex, (4) the degree of elongation is 25-60%, (5) the single yarn fineness is 10-25 dtex, (6) the hot water shrinkage rate is 1-5%, and (7) the dry heat crimp percentage is 5-25%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
