PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form printed matter high in the quality of a printed result in both cases of forming printed matter visualized from the applied ink side and forming printed matter visualized from the printing medium side in a technology of applying multiple colors of ink in sequence onto the printing medium. SOLUTION: A printer includes: a conveying part 600 for conveying the printing medium PM in a first direction At1 and a second direction At2; a plurality of monochromatic heads 100W, 100C, 100M, 100Y, 100BK provided in different positions in the conveying direction of the printing medium; and two light emitting parts 702, 704 provided in both side positions in the conveying direction of the printing medium with respect to the plurality of monochromatic heads 100W, 100C, 100M, 100Y, 100BK.
