PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer having fine color particles dispersed in an insulating liquid, which achieves both high dispersion stability and excellent development characteristics. SOLUTION: The liquid developer has toner particles dispersed in the insulating liquid, wherein the insulating liquid contains a fatty acid monoester and a polyglycerol fatty acid ester.
