PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a leg spring with a spring winding machine suitable only for manufacture of a coiled spring. SOLUTION: A spring manufacturing machine (1) has a frame (2) including: a wire entering part; a wire guide (5) for supplying a wire (10) to a supply direction (s); a spindle (16) provided in a latter part thereof movable in an up-and-down direction orthogonal to the supplied wire (10) and also in a vertical direction to the frame; and a forming tool (15) movable in parallel (t) to the wire supply direction and to two directions orthogonal to the wire supply direction in a latter part thereof. A wire guide path (27) is separated from an outside side wall (31) oppositely directed to a frame of a spindle within the spindle. The supplied wire is moved to the forming tool via the spindle, and introduced into the wire guide path (27) through an opening (46) within the spindle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
