The joining head arrangement for joining elements (36) on component (38) under use of high welding currents, comprises a frame (26) on which a first power line is arranged, a joining tool (32) rotatably arranged on the frame, where a second power line is arranged on the joining tool, and an electric contact arrangement (80) for electric connection of first and second power lines. The contact arrangement has a first contact element that is connected with the first power line, and a second contact element that is connected with the second power line. The contact arrangement is formed as sliding contact arrangement in such a way that the contact surfaces are movable against each other in a relative movement of the frame and the joining tool in order to transmit an electric current from the first contact element to the second contact element. The contact surface twists against each other in a relative movement of the frame and the joining tool around a rotating axis. The first and second contact surfaces are aligned diagonally or vertically to the rotating axis and are pressed against each other over a pressing arrangement in a direction parallel to the rotating axis. The pressing arrangement has a spring by which the contact surfaces are pressed to each other. The pressing arrangement is electrically insulated against the contact elements, which are formed as ring contact element. The ring contact elements are concentrically aligned to the rotating axis. The pressing arrangement extends itself through interior opening of the ring contact element. An independent claim is included for a sliding contact arrangement.</p>
