The method involves inserting an opening with an edge section in a flat component (222). Shafts (221, 236) are inserted into the opening such that a groove of the shafts is formed in a circumferential direction (243) of the shafts, and is arranged in a plane of the flat component. A bent edge section is deformed by a pressing tool that is pressed against the edge section parallel to the shafts so that the edge section is bent back into the plane of the flat component, and is pressed against wall sections of the groove, where the shafts within an area of the groove are fixed in the opening. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement comprising a flat component.
